Hi,
I'm trying to download the slides from http://www.itp.phys.ethz.ch/education/lectures_fs11/solid. However, I'm always getting "Access denied. Invalid user name or password", but no credentials are required. Same in Firefox and IE. What's wrong?
Thanks

Dear User!

All the files you've tried downloading are in PDF format.
You should check whether or not your current PDF program is integrated with your browser and disable it. This allows FDM to download and save PDF files.

I am experiencing this same issue, and I do not understand how an external file association can interfere with this.

I am attempting to download a few dozen files (average size 800Mb, some bigger some smaller)from a paysite, and I queued up the first twenty. FDM was chugging away like a champ, and chewed through the first half or so. Halfway through the next file (I had it set for a maximum of 1 file at a time) download speed collapsed to literally 1 (single) kb/sec, estimated download time more than seven thousand hours (which is two years). I paused the download, and I'd been able to resume downloads from this site before. I shut everything down and did a hard reboot of my system and have since been unable to resume (or begin) any other queued download on this list.

Note that I have tried both individually starting downloads and group-starting the entire list, I tried retyping in download properties the username and password to no avail. Note that I DO have ample recipient storage space and AMPLE bandwidth. Additionally, manually using my browser download capacity works just fine (except that I have to trigger each download manually) and there is no difference in this problem if I am logged into the site with a different browser window or not.

Thanks.
