ALIRC enables you to control your PC via most remote controls that you daily use. Such as, the remote you use for your TV, VCR, DVD, Stereo System, etc. ALIRC is remote control independent. This means that it will work with most remote controls. Therefore, if one remote control is lost or broken you just use another one. ALIRC is able to learn the buttons of the remote control you want to use. Furthermore, you have the privilege of defining what actions are taken when a specific button is pressed. Furthermore, ALIRC makes it possible for you to control your audio mixer, emulate mouse activities, emulate your keyboard, run applications, run VBScripts, shutdown your Pc and manipulate windows found on your desktop.
The OSD (On Screen Display) found on ALIRC will provide you with an enjoyable interactive interface. It also consists of file explorer that has the capability to browse through all disk drives connected to your computer and launch/execute any file found on them. In addition, the OSD have a built-in timer that you can set to shutdown, logoff or restart your computer.
ALIRC uses a device that is simple to build. This device receives signals sent by remote controls. ALIRC memorizes these signals so that it recognizes them in the future. Post-learning these signals ALIRC could perform numerous tasks when a signal is recognized (when a button on the remote is pressed).
