Headhunter

Released: Jul 14, 2007

Headhunter is a top-down battlefield game. 2 large armies clash on the battlefield, and you're a simple soldier. Not even the captain. Yet, as the enemy would normally overwhelm you in numbers, you're the one that should make your army win the battle. You can do that by requesting reinforcements on the right place and on the right time, or you can jump in a tank, helicopter or any of the other vehicles and use your skills to thrive the enemy back to where he belongs. Incase the enemy breaks through to your outpost or your base, you can still grab one of the machineguns or the antitanks to make your last stand. There are 9 different gamemodes: deathmatch, team deathmatch, conquer, assault, defend, capture the flag, capture all flags, hold the flag, and kill them all. Each of these gamemodes creates a different style of gameplay. Headhunter is no a one-sided game. It is designed to be interesting for many types of gamers, from the hardcore deathmatch gamer who likes nothing more than assaulting the enemy lines head-on, to the stealth player that prefers sneaking behind the enemy lines in the night taking them out one by one with a sniper, to the relaxed player sending his greetings from behind a machinegun, to the strategic player that doctors out the plans behind every attack. There are many different powerups and unlockables, and there is even a level editor. Another important feature is the Imperial Campaign. The Imperial Campaign is a turn-based strategy game. There is a map, divided in several countries and factions. Every faction has several armies, represented by flags. Every country has a country has a specification: barracks, city, factory, etc. Per turn you receive the income your countries generate and you can spend it on upgrading the countries or building new troops/upgrades. Per turn you can move every flag to a bordering country to move there, attack its defending flags or take it over. You can skip the battles, or you can fight them out real-time on
