Webroot Beagle Remover is a free utility that can quickly scan your system to detect and remove the Beagle worm, also known as Bagel worm. This lightweight, downloadable application runs without installing any components on your system and passes results of the scan to a Webroot hosted web page. For comprehensive results, including recommendations for preventing future infections, the tool should be run with an open Internet connection.
The Beagle virus is a worm that propagates through email. It arrives in your inbox with subject "hi" and body text that includes "test" and other random characters. The email includes an exe file that is the virus itself. Once an infection occurs, Beagle scans a hard drive for email addresses and sends itself to all that it finds.
