Editor review of Yosemite by The Drawing Hand |
2006-04-18 |
This screensaver draws a landscape of Yosemite National Park. To get access to other drawings you must purchase the full version of the software. Then you'll be able to download various pictures from different categories, for example animals or vehicles, and add them to the screensaver. Or even create your own drawings for the screensaver (in this case you'll need ArtStudio by Drawing Hand Creations).
When the screensaver starts, you see a blank canvas and an artist holding a pencil in his hand starts making strokes. You can control the size of drawings and the drawing speed. Moreover, when a drawing is finished the screensaver can start drawing another one, and so on.
Unfortunately, you can't see the rest of the artist's arm – just the disembodied hand moving round the screen, which looks rather unnatural and unaesthetic. It somehow reminded me of Thing from the Addams Family. However, if the hand bothers you and you don't wish to see it, the program settings allow you to hide it for a picture to be drawn by an invisible artist. |
