Folder Lock is a highly effective way of protecting confidential information from other people. With the program you can safely lock, scramble and encrypt any files or folders on your computer and on removable disks in a matter of seconds.
When you have set a password the program creates a special "Locker" folder where you can store files you want to lock and make totally inaccessible to any other person. You will be prompted to enter the set password every time you want to open the "Locker" folder, be it on the same computer or on another in case of using portable devices. The program can not even be deleted or uninstalled without entering the correct password. Some additional options can be really useful. The stealth mode offers you the greatest privacy allowing you to keep others unaware of Folder Lock being installed on your computer. Folder Lock also lets you clear recent document history so that no one will see what documents were run on your computer.
The protected data is completely secure. The program is an indispensable tool for those who want to protect their information from any kind of damage, loss or theft. | Just wanted to warn you about Folder Lock.
This software is nothing more than a pretty face that hides folders. It encrypts nothing and if you ask the company what lock, scramble and encrypt mean, you won't get an answer.
I got my answer by doing a test. I shared out the Locker on my network. I went to my other computer and mapped to it. Then I Locked, Scrambled and Encrypted it and each time, from the other computer, I was able to open the folder and open and change a file. You try it.
True to their word, the FL people were quick with email. But, they were not quick with solutions and spoke to me robotically about downloading more software. In the end, I gave up.
Folder Lock is a fraud. You should not use it for anything sensitive.
