Wider Desktop lets you add more space to your desktop for you to view several documents simultaneously in a convenient way.
Usually when you open several documents or folders, your desktop lacks space for you to view them all at once. As a rule, in such cases you have to make windows smaller or drag-and-drop them across the screen one by one, which is really annoying.
With Wider Desktop you can avoid these inconvenient manipulations and get a faster access to several opened documents. The program simply adds a considerable amount of free space to your desktop and in so doing creates a virtual desktop which is 3 times bigger than your real desktop. After that you can scroll the virtual desktop using scrollbars at the right and the bottom of the screen, which can be useful when you need to view several opened files or compare them. Unfortunately, it doesn't arrange the position of windows automatically, so you'll have to do it by yourself.
If desired, Wider Desktop can be set to start with Windows. |
