If you have multiple mailboxes you may find it rather inconvenient to handle all of them checking your mail. Multi-Mail Notifier is capable of tracking several accounts and alerting you when the mail arrives. Supported account types are POP3, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL Mail and IMAP.
Multi-Mail Notifier runs unobtrusively in the tray and informs you about new or unread mails in any of your mailboxes by displaying a visual notification: a special icon and a balloon hint. As in many programs of the kind, you can also set the software to play a sound when new messages arrive. The program lets you choose any WAV file from your hard drive as a notification sound. Other options let you specify how often the program should check for new messages. As soon as a mail arrives, it is enough to simply push a button in the program window, and your web account or e-mail reader will be immediately opened for you to read your mail.
Though the software is rather basic and does not have a variety of settings and configurations, it can be recommended as useful for users who have multiple mailboxes unless they are eager to find similar software with a free license. |
