Although this application won't probably wow most users, it is a decent FLV player offering a couple of features beyond the basic ones.
The program's basic functionality includes navigating backward and forward through videos, playing videos in a loop, adjusting their volume as well as shuffling and muting them. The player supports quite a lot of video formats, among which are FLV, AVI, DIVX, XVID, MP4, MPG, WMV, ASF, MPEG, M4V, MKV, etc.
What comes to the advanced features, here refer taking snapshots of the videos being played, smoothing the image, adjusting the window size and more. The player even offers several interface languages (however, only part of the interface seems to be translated properly).
Operating the program is easy and convenient as it supports drag and drop and can open files both from your hard disk and from the Internet. During our tests, however, we experienced some problems with viewing files from the Internet. Yet we cannot claim that it was all due to the app's disrupted functionality: part of the problem could be specific characteristics of the visited video sites.
Overall, with its smart and skinnable interface, the player should make working with it a favorable experience. |
