Hangman Pro lets you have fun and test your knowledge while guessing words.
The principle of the game is classic: you are to guess a word or a phrase letter by letter before the man is hanged. The number of incorrectly guessed letters is limited, so that if you reach this number you will lose.
The game can be played in different ways:
– Words to be guessed can be taken from built-in categories. Categories represent 69 various topics ranging from anatomy and astronomy to cars and islands. You can specify a category to test your knowledge of a particular sphere or words can be taken from several selected categories at random.
– You can enter your own word or phrase to be guessed by your friend. If you wish, you can supply it with a hint and some associated information.
– Words can be taken from a list that you have created. This function is available in the registered version only.
You can alter the difficulty level by selecting the maximum number of incorrect guesses. Where available, hints can be optionally displayed as the authors claim, but in fact they do not seem to be available in case of using words from built-in categories.
When you guess a word, sometimes you are given some information associated with the word. This helps you learn something new and broaden your horizons. |
