SmartPic 3.5 will let you easily spice up your e-mail messages or Word documents with different kinds of smiley faces. All of them are categorized into a simple tree listing, which draws a clear border between shareware-images and registered version-ones. You can't fail to notice, by the way, that the software bulges with pop-up ads announcing all the features of the full version, where over 3,500 pictures are available.
SmartPic has a straightforward interface with plainly designed buttons. Just select an image to instantly paste it into a new message. Yet you should know that the program is compatible only with a limited number of mail software, such as Outlook (Express), Mozilla, Foxmail, Netscape Mail, Thunderbird and a couple of others. It also works with Word, as has been mentioned above.
With SmartPic, you can design your own balloon-smileys as well; moreover, inserting or removing pictures and categories is enabled. Besides that, you can form a group of your favorite smileys for easy access.
On the whole, the software lets you appreciate the ease of managing your emoticons. But unfortunately, that ease fades against the smiley graphics that leave much to be desired. |
