Why aren't you adding new builds to blog?

.. will be better, if you will implement that I announced at:

http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/board/viewtopic.php?t=10023

Mutexes cost too much CPU time and DNS cache speedup downloading and also will cost less CPU .. this is realy true ... I use local DNS server now, becouse FDM make too much DNS queries, that is not needed ... if you have about 10 files to download with 8 section, this is 80 queries, that is not needed everytime, maybe only at startup of first section on file ... FDM is great, but mutexes and DNS is primary problems!

Try download my sources at http://www.softpae.com/fsmutex.zip

This is only my experimental sources, I am not hardcore C++ programmer as you are  I implement some mutex implementation from boot_rewrite library, this implementation have some problems with graphics, but do not cost CPU time. I have not implemented DNS cache in FDM source, I use small local DNS server, but will be very well to implement this DNS cache to FDM.

Hi Alex,

Ma&y I ask you this simple feature request ?

- An option to have multiple logins per site. (Shouldn't be too hard too implement, and will save many of us having multiple logins for our sites).
:)

Small bug-report :

Since the latest beta version, "Move to Top" sometimes does not start these downloads, they keep "On hold".

Hi Alex,

Do you think you can implement a pause button for single downloads, i see there is one for Pausing All Downloads.

Thanks

Firefox addon not working

Postby k_kolev1985 » Tue Nov 04, 2008 9:55 am

Hello, Alex,

Even with build 814 of FDM 2.6, I can't get the Firefox addon of FDM (v1.3.4) to work. The Firefox version is 3.0.3. I removed FlashGot extension from FF, checked the "Firefox" checkbox in FDM's options for monitoring and still it doesn't work. The FDM Firefox addon is enabled, so that is not the problem. What is going on? Am I doing something not the right way? Please help ... !

Best wishes!

Well ... it doesn't catch the clicks in Firefox. The FDM window for a new download doesn't appear. Only the Firefox's download window appears. The "Download by FDM" context menu option also doesn't work on a link.
