Wrong. Still missing per-torrent speed setting. You can only try to "Grant all bandwidth" for the torrent.
For regular downloads you should right click on the download you want to change, choose "Download properties" and change settings on "Connections" tab.

Like you say: 'you can only grant all bandwidth'

You should be more precise in your problem description. Read How To Ask Questions The Smart Way, please

'I want to be able to manage the bandwidth more efficiently.' means in this context, that some downloads are more important then others, thus giving the important one's more bandwidth would make it more efficient.

I am using FDM for, well, forever. So please don't get me wrong.

btw; using 3.5 for the moment

People! Please!

I have to repost it.

I want to ask what is CLI for these functions:
- Download All on Page.
- Download All Video From Page.

I've tried to use this in Opera:

Code: Select all

Item, "Download All with FDM"=Execute program,"program\FDM\fdm.exe","ALL %s"

So FDM starts with correct parameters (since newest Opera snapshot), but it doesn't run download-all-dialog, it just runs and that's it.

Why those functions work as IE addon, but not working via CLI in Opera?

Dear developers. Last time appear new tendention in torrent trackers. More and more such sites publicate only MAGNET links insted of Torrent links. Do you planning to support this function?

Search forum for other topics on torrents.

you don't understand me, I mean to restore torrents seeding not one by one, but all at once, cause I can't remember what torrents I has added in FDM, and the uploaded stats also would desirable to be restored, I just can't figure why it cleans all the torrents history? :(

@Graf, I believe FDM is primarily a HTTP,HTTPS and FTP downloader with torrent and site downloaders built-in as a stop-gap measure i.e. to be used as a quick alternative to proper dedicated torrent or site downloaders. There is no "Jack of all Trades" when it comes to software.

I would suggest using a proper torrent client like utorrent, it can be downloaded from http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/utorrent_portable . I'm positive its much better suited for dedicated torrent seeding etc and its very resource friendly as well.

I know that it dedicated primarily for HTTP, HTTPS and FTP download, but I need to use FDM for a short time.
I know about µTorrent, and I'm using it from time to time, when I need to seed something, but there is so much torrents added (about 530), that when I need to download something, active uploads blocks whatever I download, even if I pause active uploads, after some time will appear other active uploads, hope you know what I mean, with a 64 KByte/s up/down channel it takes a lot of time to download some large files, and even with a medium size (DVDRips 700 MB), besides other reason why I'm using FDM is that I don't want that what I download would get in µTorrent down stats

Alex, by the way, I noticed that it begin to crash very often with no reason, this is crash dump fdm931.dmp (alternative link, file will be stored 30 days), please, check it as you can

Thanks SO MUCH for the update! I was truly surprised and impressed to see such a timely response to the Firefox 4.0 update.

FDM is my absolute daily bread-and-butter, couldn't live without it. I'm a software developer myself and have to say I am impressed with the overall design and execution. Kudos.

Cheers

Hi! No, this is not bug. It just closed automatically after the launch of downloaded file. This is by design.

Same problem for me. The downloaded file is not launched. Both options for "launch download .... " and "close this dialog ..." are NOT checked and both disappears immediately.

You know I been thinkin the same thing now for a while. I mean damn why not just put a 4.0 label on this thing and make any enhancements the usual "updates" as with any other software. This RC label has been on this program long enough.

btw: not a complaint about what the program does, its good to have this and I use it, its more a useful function though for us old time dialup users though, who don't have access to HS ISP.
