Nice work, I haven't had any crashes since installing 1289 (fvm enabled).
interface frequently hangs
I'm having frequent 'crashes' with this new version 3.9.2 of FDM. This happened never before with the previous version I was running before the automatic update.
When FDM hangs I need to kill the fdm.exe process, because the interface isn't reactive. After I restart FDM all links are gone. This seems to indicate that FDM has corrupted its own database of links.
When I take a backup of my links and re-add the new links everything is going fine until the program hangs again.
I think the interface is the problem. As long as I don't touch the interface everything seems to be OK.
Does anybody know what's happening and how I can avoid this?
As a consequence of these instability issues I've started to export my new links at regular intervals and now I'm also importing my links from batch files.
Another consequence of the instability issues is that my link history is no longer correct as the program doesn't seem to save the links and their status properly. I've to continuously re-add links that have been downloaded, but as soon as I remove the corresponding files, these files are re-downloaded. How can I indicate that a file has been successfully downloaded? Is it possible to safe the links/history as soon as a link has been tried?

With what exactly version? You haven't provided any details about your OS, AV software, problematic links etc. so noone can confirm your observations.johan wrote:I'm having frequent 'crashes' with this new version 3.9.2 of FDM.

Re: FDM 3.9.2
I use Opera with Oget (opera's answer to flashgot for firefox). FDM works perfectly for me. It is awesome!
Edit: For other Opera users, There is an awesome extension called Redirect Bypasser. When you mouseover a link, it presents you with a link to the final destination, bypassing any redirection. It is awesome to use with FDM.

My FDM version is 3.9.2.
My OS is Windows XP.
I have no AV malware at all, because I have a hardware firewall.
I'm downloading the same links for years, so it's not the links.
I think it's the interface and more in particular the "Add Download" button. I'm using batch functions (File -> Import mainly) now and the interface is no longer freezing.

FDM 3.9.2 build 1289 does not resolve the name of the file...
e.g.:

Re: FDM 3.9.2
The FDM 3.9.2 build 1289 and Firefox 17 running at the same time will crash, that is, the FDM with Firefox not running at the same time.

You are not alone. I already brought this up on January 13 when FF was still at version 18.0 (I think). Now that it is at ver. 18.0.1 and FDM at build 1289 there's no improvement. Firefox freezes (not responding) for about 10 secs. especially when there's a flash video on a page that is open.
I uninstalled FDM for the meantime and use Orbit Downloader until this problem of Firefox freezing is sorted out.
Wrong version supplied on update
I was using the "light" version of 3.9.2 build 1288. Today I received an automatic upgrade to build 1289--but it's the full version which I don't want.
Suggestion for future automatic updates: Provide the same level (Light or Full) that is currently in use.

Dear Users!
As it comes from our testing, FDM 3.9.2.1289 does work with Firfox 17 - 18 flawlessly, both with regular and Flash video downloads. That's why, we would like to ask you to add some screenshots with crash reports, as well as links to your downloads. Maybe, this will allow to find out the reason of your issues and to rectify them sooner.
Re: FDM 3.9.2
File lager than 2GB with redirect links won't automatically generate its file name in FDM.This is not a nowaday bug,but have been exist since I'm using FDM 3.0.
Download from any filehost service which provide service for 2GB files will cause this problem.
for example. I'm downloading fdm_video_manual.mp4 2.01GB from http://www.abc.com/download?fid=1111&si ... n&pass=xyz
The downloaded file name will be download not fdm_video_manual.mp4,and I have to rename it manually. It's annoying deal with splitted winrar archives.
Hope this could be fixed.

Re: FDM 3.9.2
hi
thanks FDM is amazing
i wounder if it is possible to create more session without reaching limit of 20 sessions (in most cases 20 is the max session)
that would be very affective for people with low internet speed
thanks anyway
