I want to compile it for private use only.

Here are the GPL's: https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-violation.en.html

Alex, I can see code for old FDM 3.9.7 build 1327 (March 2016) there, but I can't find code for the latest FDM 3.9.7 build 1638, that's still provided on GPL.
And there are no binaries for the last Windows 2000 build or any FDM 3.9 build there, Some of them are still useful, f.e. the last build with classic Firefox extension may be needed to work with other Gecko-based browsers.

Sounds good but then why link something to violation link then? That to me was a red flag if they were looking for that what they posted in reply didn't sound helpful.

The GPL license claims that the source code may be provided upon request. So he DOES make a request and provides documents to prove that his request is legal and should be satisfied, and that denying the request will be a license violation.

I'll get back to you on that, sorry for the delay.
Can't seem to find it, have to ask.

What I was responding to was the only time someone would say or show what the violation was if it was denied but to bring it up on the first time asking when nothing had been violated or denied that in itself hints at the nature of the request wasn't trying to be helpful but Trolling instead.

I'm sorry, I don't understand your sophisticated English. Could you express your opinion in simple phrases for dummies, please?

The reply seems to have a underlying meaning from what is being said if that what it is saying.

In my response the the poster if they asked and FDM denied or refused to respond to their request time and time then they could say based on these guidelines in gpl-violation terms they aren't honoring the request for the files that fall under that category. Then they could inform the creators of FDM of the violation if it comes down to that point. And to me if you asking and then at the same time pointing the gpl violations terms that would point to what I would called Patent Trolling. What they are trying to do is to get something more then just sourcecode as that is just a front to something else.

Simple phrases, please. One phrase per line, please.
