Hi,

That doesn't work for me ... i've installed firefox 0.9.2 and now tried to install this fix and choosed "switch on monitoring for mozilla firefox" during the installation, but the installation quits with the error message "failed to install mozilla firefox plugin". Whats the problem?

Anyway, this one's a great download-manager. I sticked around with some others for a while (stardownloader, flashget ...) and i've to say ... fdm is a must have! I hope, that i the new releases the mozilla/firefox support will be alot better.

Cu and greets from germany (and sorry for my bad english)

Put npfdm.dll file into Mozilla Firefox's plugin directory.

Before I had read this, there was an error message saying FDM couldn't find the plugin path so I chose it manually, but that showed another msg: "Couldn't install plugin" or something similar.

Copying it manually worked.

"CAN'T INSTALL FIREFOX MONITORING"

I've just installed FDM and started using it. I have to say, after using several other download managers, this one looks like a keeper! :)

However, I'm having a small problem with the following:

I'm using Firefox 0.9.3 and FDM 1.0. When I tick Mozilla Firefox in the Options Monitoring tab and press Apply, it tells me "Can't install Firefox monitoring". I found this thread and tried to download the operafix file linked in the first post, but it seems to have disappeared. Can anybody offer advice or something that will allow FDM to monitor my Firefox? :? Thanks!

Just make sure your fdm build is 194 or more, if is not, re-download.
Then browse for the extension "downloadwith" for firefox. (extensions)
Install it , go in the extension property and then "add a new program"/
"custom configuration" label and identifier is what you want, program
location: just browse for fdm.exe, arguments: [URL]
in automatic download tab put to "all files" and then the label you choosed for
fdm.exe
Then u can disable mozilla plugin inside fdm, just let on IE plugin if u need.

working really fine 8)

Thanks

I am using build 194. I will install the downloadwith ext later and follow the instructions you've laid out. I will return and let you know how things turned out. Thanks for your input.
